Down Under Push For Numis Network

Well it’s official.  Numismatic coin biz, Numis Network, is now in pre-launch in Australia.

After spreading their wings from their US base, and launching in the UK last year, the company now moves into their second international market.

Not sure why they chose the UK first up, as Australia is often the first destination of choice for expanding network marketing companies.  This is because the environment here is more conducive to doing business (from an mlm point of view), than the UK.

I wrote about Numis Network last year by way of a Numis Network Review article.

In that article I made the following points:

• The company started business in 2009
• They are players in the US $10 billion numismatics coin industry (globally $100 million)
• The distribution model the company employs is network marketing
• Their compensation plan uses a binary system
• Although there are risks associated with the type of product they promote (compliance risks to name just one), Numis Network is NOT  a scam

Number 1 earner in Numis is Ray Higdon, who has done a great job of providing solid leadership and training for his team.

Isagenix Australia can give themselves a big pat on the back for getting their blockbuster new product approved by the health bureaucracy in Australia, less than 6 months after the product was released in the US.  No easy task.

The product in question is called Product B, and is designed to give support to telemeres which form part of the cell.  As the theory goes, if you can lengthen your telemeres you can lengthen your life.

Up until now distributors have been importing the product privately for their own use.  But now with the product being approved for resale in Australia, reps will be able to re-sell the product to customers.

Of course, according to the dictates of the Australian regulatory regime, health claims cannot be made about the product.  This is despite the fact that thousands of people around the world have reported positive health benefits.

Such is the state of affairs in Australia, that product users have had their rights to free speech curtailed – they cant even tell their own personal testimony.  Australia has constructed a regulatory regime that empire building bureaucrats in other countries can only envy.

Product B will be officially launched in Australia by February.

Hyper growth mlm weight loss biz, Visalus, may open in Australia and other countries in the future.

If you didn’t already know it, Visalus is breaking records in the US, and is now firmly in ‘international expansion mode’.

So successful has the company been, that they are now well and truly on track for a billion dollars in sales in a  single year.  The last company that achieved that result was Nu Skin.  And that was a long time ago.  Such is the fragmented state of the industry that very few companies have come close to cracking a billion in annual sales in the last 20 years.  Until now.

If Visalus does open n Australia it  would be a smart move for the company.  Many of the most successful US based network marketing companies open in Australia.   The most obvious examples are Amway, Herbalife and Nu Skin.  They all choose Australia for their overseas expansion.

The reasons are as follows:

1. Positive MLM Environment. Hundreds of thousands of Australians are ‘doing mlm’.
2. First World Incomes. Average wages are now higher than for American workers.  It’s a workers paradise!
3. US Influences. Australia has been heavily influenced by some aspects of American culture.  Examples: McDonalds are everywhere, and people flock to US movies regularly.
4. Small Business Culture. Unlike Europe, for instance, Australia is loaded with people who want to work from home, building their own business.
5. Wall to Wall Fat People. Obesity rates are now close to that of the US – nothing to be proud of.  Should auger well for Visalus and their focus on weight control.

Will Visalus open in Australia?  Time will tell.

Herbalife Australia Reps Expect Minimal Impact

Sooner or later it had to happen.

Aggressive mlm marketer Herbalife was going to be the patsy at the hands of over zealous regulators, consumer groups and the court system.

Last week a Belgium Court ruled that Herbalife is a dodgy pyramid scheme.

Normally these accusations are directed at young companies that are maybe too aggressive in their marketing efforts.

Herbalife has said they will appeal the ruling which happened as a result of a case brought by local consumer organization Test-Aankoop in 2004.

The ruling claims that the company is in violation of Belgian law in relation to ‘unfair commercial practices.’

Herbalife can modify their sales practices, but if they don’t make sufficient changes, a maximum fine of 250,000 euros can be imposed.

It is important that Herbalife take what ever action is necessary to resolve the problem, otherwise the fallout could affect sales in other markets including Australia, which has been opened for business for 29 years.

European network marketing sensation, Lyoness, is launching in Australia in January 2012.  Lots of excitement has been generated in Australia already.

Lyoness is essentially a cash back discount shopping club.  It was founded in Austria in 2003.  Currently they have more than 2 million members/customers, and 350 employees.  The value of transactions is more than $3 billion a year, with more than 100 million products and services on offer (if you believe it).  The company operates in 22 countries.

Somewhat reminiscent of auction shopping biz, Dubli, Lyoness in a way is like an updated version of Amway in that they have a large catalogue of name brand product and services.  The difference being that Lyoness has a vast range of brand name offerings.

Recently Lyoness opened in the US, but at this point it is too early to say how successful it will be there.  Europe is different to the US and Australia, so it is not possible to predict how successful it will be in Australia.

In Europe Lyoness has forged relationships with a myriad of brand partners such as BMW, Jaguar, Shell, Dell, HP, Panasonic and Ferrari.

The Cash back paid on purchases for members is not huge (it is 1%), but it can be more attractive for big ticket products such as cars.

Making Money With Lyoness

If you plan to review the Lyoness pay plan you will need the following aids:

• Large note pad
• Glass of Scotch
• Pain killers

This is because of the mind numbing complication of the pay plan.  It’s a doozie.  Most people will glaze over after watching the pay plan video.

Bottom line is that the margins are very small which means of course that any business builder will need big numbers of members to make good money.

The type of pay plan is a 2 X 2 matrix which means that a certain number of people have to fill the matrix (35 X 35) before a commission is paid, which initially would be the princely sum of $875.  Matrix plans do not have a great track record so it is good to see a quality company such as Lyoness making it work.

You can start as a business partner for around $3,000 for the coveted founder’s position.  To earn  commissions you will be required to recruit 4 other business partners.

Golden Gate Capital Corp, the owner of network marketing business Neways, may hand over control of the company to creditors.

This is one of several options being considered in light of the beleaguered Neways’ catastrophic default on $235 loans recently.

The Utah based Neways is a maker of personal care and household products, and has experienced sales declines in recent years, particularly in the key Japanese market.

Founded by husband and wife team, Tom and Dee Mower, Neways was sold to Golden Gate in 2006 as a result of problems being experienced by the Mowers.

If Neways declares bankruptcy Golden Gate will lose control of the company, which in turn could pass to creditors, which consist mainly of other lenders.

In Australia, Neways has a long history, dating back to the eighties.  Australia has represented a solid market for the company, but news of the possible bankruptcy will have a negative effect on the distributor force.

Interestingly Golden Gate also purchased Herbalife and saw their investment increase ten fold.  No such luck with poor old Neways.

Sales Take a Tumble For WMI Australia

A string of negative events for Wealth Masters International is taking its toll on the Wealth Masters International Australian operation.

Key WMI Australia and US leaders are scrambling to lock in alternative income streams, as WMI sales plummet.

Take a look at recent problems for the company:

1. Sales Executive Quits. Deanna Latson Quit WMI.  Apparently she wasn’t happy with what was going on behind the scenes (company not paying its bills etc).

2. Vice President of Marketing Quits. Ex Liberty League and Lifepath Unlimited rep Michael Hamburger has jumped ship in favour of Brent Payne’s Avant.

3. SEC Launches Investigation. The SEC in the US launched an investigation into Wealth Masters for possible ‘securities violations‘.

4.  New Zealand Launches Investigation. New Zealand’s Commerce Commission has now decided to launch an investigation, no doubt prompted by the news earlier this year that the company has been a declared an illegal pyramid in Norway.

The foregoing represents negative events that have happened in just the last month or so.  Ouch!

Businesses such as Wealth Masters depend on confidence for their continued viability.  Nothing erodes confidence faster than negative events such as these.

The Future for Wealth Masters?

There is none.  WMI is toast.

If you like the idea of marketing big ticket products (and generating big commissions) try a different approach to WMI.

Think $2,000 to $5,000 commission per sale.  Not personal develpment or wealth education products, but a great sizzle product in the travel industry.

It’s a different way of looking at things, but if you get your head around the concept, you can do very well here.

Adeel Chowdry the Real Brains Behind Go Click Cash

I saw an interesting sales pitch recently.  I guy who was calling himself James Danzel launched into a 1 hour rant  about internet marketing, the losers who fail at it, and why his ’system’ is the only way to untold riches online.

James Danzel seems to have all the trappings – the mansion, the cars, and of course the personal jet.  Oh, he also has the babes.  But when you look at the picture at the bottom of this post featuring James and 3 lovely girls, and then compare it to the one above, featuring George Clooney, you gotta ask the question.  Is James Danzel a great big fake?

More on that one later.

About Go Click Cash

Let’s talk about the product being pitched.  The product is called Go Click Cash.  It’s claimed to be THE solution to the problems affiliate marketers face, namely that they ain’t making money!

So how does this product solve the problem and make you lots of filthy moolah?

Well it is a software program that will automatically set up lots of keyword enabled pages targetted at as many niches as you want.  If you know about  Google Sniper you’ll get the general idea about this product.

In a nutshell Go Click Cash will dynamically build ClickBank product reviews for you, using the Wordpress platform.  The functionality of go click cash software is excellent.

The software is easy to use so that even beginners should have no problem with it.  A user manual is included.

To get started you just visit the ClickBank website, choose a product that you like and load up the built in review template using the Go Click Cash software.  Another nice feature is that you can choose a Wordpress theme that matches the theme of the product.  Neat.

Affiliate banners, adsense ads etc can also be added, although the use of these tools can be counter productive by taking the prospect’s focus away from the main thing you want them to do – buy the Click Cash product!.

Another worthwhile feature is the ability to add an opt-in form for list building purposes.

Although the video claims that the Go Click Cash software is all you will be buying – no upsells – they in fact DO try and sell you more product, which includes a $97 a month subscription to an article writing service, with a video conversion feature thrown in.

Other back end products being promoted is a PLR package for $197, and a plug in package for $197

You decide if these packages are useful to you.

Summary: The base product appears to be well constructed and represents good value for money, although some say that it is not as easy to use as the Google Sniper program.

Adeel Chowdhry Mystery Man

Over the last few years Adeel Chowdry has launched a number of IM products.  The guy knows his stuff.  He’s also a pretty good marketer.  And he is smart enough to know that he will get more sales if he uses a US guy as the front man.  Enter James Danzel.  James Denzel is allegedly the guy who developed the product.  As the story goes he’s a self made millionaire enjoying the high life.  But is he?  My guess is that he is a paid actor – Denzel’s front man – who spouts the lines fed to him.

And what lines they are.  The way Danzel explains it, all you gotta do is buy it and the money flows.  But anyone who knows anything about seo methods will know that – even with the best tools in the world – plenty of work is required.

And anyone who suggests otherwise is a fraud.  And as for stealing a scene from a George Clooney advertisement, well shame on you!

Sorry Adeel, James, or whoever you are.  Your sales pitch is a bunch of crap.  I like the Go Click Cash product though.

As good as the above product is, the problem with SEO methods is that you need to invest loads of time to learn the strategies.  Then you have to do the work to make it happen.  Then you have to wait, and wait, and wait for all that hard work to pay off.

And because you are promoting small ticket products, when you DO finally make same sales, your income will be miniscule.  Think a $20 commission here, and a $15 commission there.

On the other hand if you market a big ticket product you can afford to spend money on advertising.

As a consequence, results will be much faster (compared to using ‘free’ SEO methods).  And what a result – think $2,000 commission per sale.  It’s a different way of looking at things, but if you get your head around the concept, you can do very well here.

Lots of Australians are buying properties in the US, because of the crash in property prices there.  We’ve seen articles showing how so called bargains can be picked up for rock bottom prices.  Some prices quoted are as low as$15,000.

But there are traps.

When a market takes off, the inevitable happens – mugs and hustlers are attracted to the latest game of chance.  This market is no different.

If you type in keywords such as – buying US property from Australia – you will see scores of entries.  It’s a hot little market this.

There’s an old saying – a fool and his money are soon parted.  And that is the way it is going with this market.  As sure as night follows day, hustlers spivs and spruikers are attracted to the game with the lure of easy commission.

I’ve seen them at the Home Shows, the investment shows and the like.  Be careful.  The Australian newspaper this week highlighted the problem.  Spruikers get hold of the cheap US stock, then jack the prices up.

It’s not only the prices that are often inflated; its also that some of these cheap properties are located in very bad suburbs.  Imagine the tenancy problems with these properties.

Of course Australian regulator ASIC is on to it.  But its too late, as always.  The damage has already been done – plenty of people have now bought these properties.  That is why it is better to tap into private online forums to find out what is going on.  They are more on the ball than government agencies, and as time passes this reality will become more pronounced (which makes you wonder, why do we need government watchdogs, now that we have the internet?  ).

As always, do your due diligence.   Research first from your home base, then jump on a plane.  Don’t take the low road by NOT visiting the US.  If that is not an option maybe you should forget the whole thing.

Last year I met a girl at a networking event.  She was a mad keen US property investor.  And she was doing it the smart way.  She conducted proper research here first, then when she was confident she had a viable deal, she booked her flight.  She acquired a number of properties at good prices in the US market, using this approach.

The problem with real estate is that you need capital to do the deals, and it may take many years before you make ANY money from the property.  Investing in another country also increases the risk factor.

On the other hand if you start a business from home with the right product and business model, you have the potential to create instant income.

Mal Emery – Still Doing the Hustle

I first saw Mal Emery in the flesh about 4 years ago.  He was hosting a Saturday seminar which featured himself, plus a bunch of other wealth creation gurus.  You know the style of seminar- lots of fluff, not much content.  People like Mal use these formats to upsell people into their deluxe program.

I didn’t quite know how to take Mal – he’s very practised at playing the posture game.  Mal’s take it or leave it approach obviously has its fans, but may offend some people who just don’t like being talked down to.

Anyway enough of my opinion, lets take a good look at what this guy is all about.

For 30 years Mal Emery has been buying and selling businesses.  Some he started from scratch, others were existing businesses that he built and sold within a year or two.

He started his first business at the tender age of 22, after he got the sack from his job.  Mal knew even at that age that he could never be an employee – he had the entrepreneurial spirit that could only be harnessed by running his own business.
In little more than  a year he was able to sell that business and use the money to almost pay off the mortgage on his house.  It was at the point that Mal knew he was destined for great things.

Another business he bought was a run down café.  He bought it for $30,000 and sold it 5 months later for $230,000. A lunch bar he bought for $145,000 he sold 18 months later for $385,000.

After buying and selling several businesses Mal stumbled across the mail order industry.  He liked it and decided to really commit to it.  Mal’s mail order business has now become a large part of his overall business activities.

Because of the success he has enjoyed in the mail order business, Mal decided to leverage his marketing knowledge by starting a coaching business.  Lots of people have paid for his courses and coaching programs over the years.  In fact on the day that I attended his one day seminar, he was promoting another of his coaching courses.  Many signed up!

Mal Emery is a natural showman, marketer and business builder.  But more than this, he also has the smarts to know that driving sales is one thing, but building a sustainable business is another.  To this end, Mal has systemised his businesses to the point where he is no longer involved in the day to day running of them.
